I love the west coast , id been to Portland , Oregon on previous occasions for work , but id never been to Seattle before , the closest id come to it was driving past the city on route to Vancouver, so to come and explore these two city's on my own time was brilliant. Flying to Seattle via Milwaukee was an experience in itself , delayed flights , bags on the plane , bags off the plane . . . bags back on the plane ! Plus a fitness session a through MKE !
The Specials are my most favorite band ever ! I first heard them at around the age of 12 or 13 and have been hooked ever since , i actually liked them after they were cool in the late 70s / early 80s and before they became cool again recently ! I remember kids at school taking the piss out of me. Oh well you cant help what you like.Ive seen them play live twice , once at the Hammersmith Apollo and once at the Cliffs Pavilion , Southend On Sea , the latter being the better of the two performances, growing up 20 odd years after the band split i never thought id get the privilege of seeing them perform live. The Specials were much more than just a band , they were a way of life for so many of Britain's kids.
I stayed at a hotel last night (a pretty well known chain) . . . Strangely , the hotel room had no door for the toilet/bathroom. Next time you stay at a hotel , make sure your room has a door !!
